I built a retro PC for early 2000s gaming using a 370 Socket motherboard, Intel Celeron, and a Creative Sound Blaster 128. The system gave me a few problems and the midi sound ended up being lack luster. Turns out the Creative Sound Blaster 128 is a rebranded Ensoniq chip that has poor Midi emulation for DOS games.
